At a higher level, language captures not only temperature but also atmosphere: a blazing sun, a scorching afternoon, a humid evening, or a refreshing breeze after intense heat.
This guide expands your vocabulary with more precise and expressive terms so you can describe summer landscapes, sensations, and moods with greater clarity and nuance.

After hours under the scorching heat, the water felt incredibly refreshing, and many visitors rushed into the ocean to cool off during the intense heatwave.
